M1 PACIFIC MOTORWAY EXTENSION TO RAYMOND TERRACE UNDERWAY

Construction on the M1 Pacific Motorway extension to Raymond Terrace is picking up pace with extensive roadworks underway.

This project will significantly cut travel times between the mid coast, Newcastle and Sydney for motorists, bypassing five sets of traffic lights and will remove about 25,000 vehicles a day from existing roads.

Once complete, it will provide a huge boost to business and the economies of the Hunter and Mid Coast.

It takes a lot of investment to deliver a project of this scale. In fact $1,680,000,000 (billion) from the former Federal Coalition Government which I lobbied relentlessly to secure.
