OFFICIAL OPENING OF MULTI-PURPOSE PAVILION FIT-OUT

It was fantastic to join with so many community members to celebrate the completion of the new fit-out of the Comboyne Showground multi-purpose pavilion and evacuation centre.

The fully fitted-out multi-purpose pavilion and community evacuation centre is an asset for the community including as a place of refuge in an emergency.

The pavilion features a camp kitchen with laundry, showers and toilets, movable dividing wall, and a generator for emergencies.

These facilities make the Showground more versatile for more events and activities, and I am pleased to see the fit-out complete thanks to a $240,097 grant from the former Federal Coalition Government’s Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program.

Campers have already given the new camp kitchen a thumbs up.

Comboyne Agricultural and Horticultural Association received State funding to build the multi-purpose pavilion to lock-up stage.

I was joined at the official opening by my colleague, the Member for Oxley Michael Kemp MP and Port Macquarie-Hastings Mayor Peta Pinson.
