In my most recent tour of the wonderful Lyne electorate, I visited communities in the upper valleys of the Hastings and Manning. Both these communities were severely affected by the bushfires over a year and a half ago, and they are still recovering. But they're a resilient mob.

The Civic space will be completed by December 2021 with the residential tower being completed the following September.
The community is today celebrating a $1 million injection in new arts and culture funding for the Mid North Coast’s home of live entertainment The Manning Entertainment Centre (MEC).
The new theatre will be a multi-purpose space with state-of-the art facilities featuring retractable seating for up to 150 patrons. There’ll be a versatile rigging system to accommodate many different types of shows, cinema projection equipment and audio gear.
Mobile phone towers across the region will be able to keep operating longer if the power goes out during or after natural disasters, thanks to a major new investment by the Australian Government.
These upgrades were identified as a critical to strengthening our telecommunications following the bushfires that swept through the region 12 months ago.
