Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie said working with Maitland Council we will deliver ‘must do projects’ for the Largs and Bolwarra communities providing improved connectivity, a safer journey for students and much needed park and recreation upgrades.

These projects provide connective infrastructure between the school, oval and the Community hub.

“This compliments the recent footpath construction in Dunmore Road and Largs Avenue and provides the necessary infrastructure for access to Largs Oval.”

Mayor Loretta Baker welcomed the funding announcement and said many amazing projects like this one today will be delivered over the next 12 months thanks to the Federal Governments Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

“These projects have been on our agenda for many years, it was part of our future program, however with this assistance we will be able to do more than we’d planned and sooner.”

“I regularly receive community representation for additional pathways and improved connectivity, I’m excited that we can deliver these alongside our city-wide strategy.”
