Volunteer Grants 2022
I know the value of volunteering and I know what an impact it has on the ground for our community - both socially and economically.
Around 8.7 million Australians regularly volunteer their skills, services and time to make life better for those around them.
Volunteers embody the best of Australians – you are the best of our nation.
You find yourselves as key players in the bigger picture of our community.
Your remarkable efforts are increasing the strength, resilience and well-being of our community.
Volunteering comes in all shapes and sizes – from a casual ‘yes I’ll help at the local fete” through to a regular gig with the many community organisations who work tirelessly to help those in need.
Volunteers play a critical role in helping shape Australia and building stronger and more resilient communities.
The Australian Government is backing volunteers in communities like this all around the country with a $20 million Volunteer Grants program.
The grants of between $1000 and $5000 each - can be used to:
purchase eligible small equipment items for use by volunteers
contribute to volunteers’ fuel costs
contribute to transport costs for volunteers with disability who are unable to drive;
assist with the costs of training courses
undertake background screening checks for volunteers.
Expressions of Interest applications close 5pm, Wednesday 28 April 2021
