It will have a major negative impact on our environment, our economy and our lifestyle.

Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie has addressed Parliament speaking out against the Offshore Wind farm proposed off the coast of his electorate.
“I would have thought after last Saturday, that the Albanese Government would realise it needs to start listening and responding to the concerns of the Australian people,” Dr Gillespie told Parliament.
Read MoreThe referendum last weekend shows how the Albanese government isn't listening to average Australians. The Prime Minister wouldn't change. He and Minister Bowen aren't listening, too, regarding the electricity system. Rewiring and repowering the nation with 92 per cent renewables is unrealistic and will cost over $1.3 trillion by 2030—not what AEMO estimates, which is far, far less.
Read MoreI rise to speak on the Water Amendment (Restoring Our Rivers) Bill 2023, which unfortunately the coalition cannot support. It is a very badly designed bill, masking a misunderstanding of the original Murray-Darling Basin Plan. In the original plan in 2012, after community dissent and unrest, with threats of violence and people's livelihoods potentially vanishing, it was settled that 2,750 gigalitres would be the sustainable diversion limit. The 450 gigalitres was not in the original plan by the honourable Craig Knowles, who worked up the plan back in 2012, which Minister Burke eventually tabled.
Read MoreThe events of 7 October will be etched in my memory forever, like they will for the rest of civilisation. What we saw is beyond belief. The depravity, the absolutely gory violence—the perverse violent nature of it—made me realise how far things have descended in the Middle East. We all know the existential survival situation that the state of Israel has had to face.

Industrial-scale renewable projects are being rolled out across the country in a reckless and haphazard manner, upsetting so many people, mainly electricity customers whose bills keep going up all the time.

The students had great knowledge of our Parliamentary system, and during the course of their visit, participated in a role play learning about the passage of a bill through Parliament, various other operations of the Parliament, and the history of our Parliament through the education program delivered by the Parliamentary Education Office.
Well done Beechwood School students!
Read MoreDr GILLESPIE (Lyne) (17:35): I rise to speak on a seemingly machinery-type bill about regulation and setting modern standards, but there are a few issues in here that raise an even deeper and broader problem. The Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Amendment (Administrative Changes) Bill 2023 on the surface proposes minor changes that allow all appliances that are running on energy in the modern world—from your computer through to your kettle, your air conditioner or your fridge—to have, with this new scheme, maybe different scales on the little rainbow of stars on white goods, or maybe descriptions of equipment as having a better carbon footprint.

With current plans of tens of thousands of kilometres more of grid that 46% will double or triple.
Investors in grids expect a fixed return on the billions of dollars they invest so you will be paying!
