WAUCHOPE’S DMC SUPPORT OPENS NEW FACILITIES
Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie has congratulated Wauchope’s Dr Namira Williams and her team on the opening of DMC Support’s new facilities in Wauchope.
Dr Gillespie officially opened the new office at 2/111 High Street in Wauchope with staff and locals on hand to celebrate the opening of the new facilities in Wauchope.
“DMC Support was established in 2021 as a niche NDIS provider. The service provides Support Coordination, and Support Services to people with disabilities who are in the early stages of thinking about relationships through to those who are pregnant, have given birth and are parents.
Dr Williams is the Manager and Support Coordinator and is also a Registered Midwife who has studied a PHD in Midwifery.
“Our service aims to empower this group of parents, and assist them achieve their life goals as parents,” Dr Williams said.
We believe that all people with a disability have the right to develop relationships and be parents if they so choose. We know that being a parent for anyone is a hard job, and our staff understand the challenges of parenting with a disability. We work with people to be the best parent they can be.
“We work closely with our partner organisation disAbility Maternity Care, an organisation that provides resources and education for parents with disabilities, families and providers.”
