TOURISM ACHIEVEMENT
Well done to Gloucester with the town taking home bronze in the Small Tourism Town category of the NSW Top Tourism Town Awards for 2024.
The achievement is a huge pat on the back to the community, businesses and residents. It acknowledges Gloucester’s contribution to the tourism industry and all that it has to offer visitors and holidaymakers.
Congratulations also go to Bulahdelah, which was also a finalist in the Small Tourism Town category.
The two destinations in the Lyne electorate were up against strong competition. Berry in the Shoalhaven region claimed the Small Tourism Town honour, with the South Coast town of Merimbula awarded silver.
Each participating town submitted a short video, itinerary, and editorial, evaluated by a judging committee of 10 industry experts. The public was then invited to vote.
The NSW Top Tourism Town Awards, managed by the NSW Tourism Industry Council, showcase the value of tourism to towns and communities across NSW and celebrate the state’s diversity and outstanding regional destinations.
The awards celebrate towns across three population categories.
